Apple Mac Studio M3 Ultra 256GB (2025)
Previous generation (819GB/s). Good used/refurb value for big models; no GPU Neural Accelerators, so prompt processing slower than M5.
Software: macOS. Best stack: MLX, llama.cpp (Metal), Ollama/LM Studio. No CUDA: most PyTorch training recipes and CUDA-only tools won't run or run slowly (MPS backend).

Server GPUs are scam-prone. Check seller history and photos; anything under about €3000 is likely broken, parts-only or fake.
